Please Read Carefully Before Buying Seeds
YES, it is legal to sell and buy cannabis seeds in the US, BUT...
Cannabis seeds may only be sold to people at least 21 years old. By completing any seed order, the buyer confirms that they meet the age requirement and are aware of and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to the purchase, possession, and use of the seeds.
Buyers bear sole responsibility for using these seeds as collectibles if they live in a state where cannabis cultivation is prohibited. They should only grow the seeds in states that permit cannabis cultivation, such as California, Colorado, Alaska, Arizona, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, Oregon, Vermont, Washington. Please note that cannabis laws and regulations can change over time due to legislative actions, voter initiatives, or other factors. It's essential to verify the current laws and regulations regarding cannabis cultivation in specific states since they might have been updated or changed by now.
Following the enactment of the 2018 Farm Bill, any parts and plant materials of the plant Cannabis sativa L. that doesn't exceed 0.3% of THC on a dry weight basis is considered as hemp and is therefore excluded from the Controlled Substances Act (CSA). Accordingly, cannabis seeds cleaned from any plant residue that may contain more than 0.3% of THC are legally and federally considered as hemp seeds. Give thanks and praise to activists, scientists and other advocates who fought for this to become the reality of a few. For more information, you're invited to read the letter from the DEA.
